The Tyranid player. The Tyranid AI follows the play style as described by people who play it at the table: hive ships launch every turn; escort drones push forward between the enemy and the hive ships and Lock On whenever they can shoot; Vanguard and Kraken squadrons charge into contact the moment it is in reach (All Ahead Full under synapse when that gets them there) and otherwise advance at full speed, ending abeam only when it costs nothing; they brace freely because contact weapons are unaffected; fighters cancel enemy ordnance and assault boats wait for approaching ships. All of it happens inside the synaptic-control and Instinctive Behaviour rules: the play style says what the Hive Mind wants, the synapse tests decide whether it gets it. It beats the simulator's autopilot in a mirror 88 % of the time.
